Tour description
First day (Friday) Belgrade
Arrival in Belgrade (direct flight from Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga, Porto). Meet the Spanish-speaking guide at the airport and panoramic city tour on the way to the hotel: New Belgrade, Zemun (Gardoš), Slavija, Parliament, Terazije, St. Mark's Church, National Theatre, Republic Square... Hotel accommodation. Dinner.
Second day (Saturday) Belgrade
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the 25th of May Museum (Tito's Mausoleum) and the Temple of Saint Sava. Then, a walking tour: Terazije, Republic Square, Knez Mihajlova Street (pedestrian area), Kalemegdan Fortress, Orthodox Church, Patriarchate, National Museum (with the option to visit it). Free time. Dinner at one of the restaurants in the traditional bohemian district of Skadarlija with live music.
Third day (Sunday) Free day or optional excursions to Fruska gora and Novi Sad
Breakfast. Free day for individual tourism. OPTIONAL: Excursion. We will pass through Fruška Gora National Park, which, in addition to its natural beauty, also hides a large number of Serbian Orthodox monasteries, earning it the nickname "Sacred Mountain of Serbia" (37 monasteries were built, 19 are still active today). We will stop to visit the monasteries of Novo Hopovo (15th century) and Krušedol (16th century). We will visit Sremski Karlovci, a small village of great historical importance (the signing of the Peace of Karlovci, where round tables were first used in negotiations so that no one would have more importance at the table). A walk through Karlovci: the oldest institute in Serbia, the Four Lions Fountain, the Patriarch’s Summer Palace. Wine tasting at one of the local wineries (we will taste the "Bermet" wine, which is the only one from this region that was served on the Titanic). The next stop is the Petrovaradin Fortress, with an exceptional view of Novi Sad. Arrival in Novi Sad (the second-largest city in Serbia) and a sightseeing tour of the city center: Freedom Square and the City Hall, Dunavska and Zmaj Jovina Streets, Catholic and Orthodox churches, synagogue, theater. Return to Belgrade. Dinner at one of the riverside restaurants.
Fourth day (Monday) Belgrade
Breakfast. Free time (optional visit to the Nikola Tesla Museum). Transfer to the airport from the hotel.
